Stephan Fischer, GERMANY: Intermediate 214lbs. “easy to use – hopefully” Answer: Very easy to rig with the stubby cambers.

Nicolas Didier,  SPAIN: Advanced 187lbs. “After 2026 Defi, I’m looking for a wide range sail. Really surprised to see a 70 kg rider can finish 81 with 6,9 sail on all races. I have used 3 different sails and many planning lost. Was too tired to spend much time in Defi village and missed the opportunity to discuss. Any possibility to try near Gruissan? Or where else? Any change in rigging needed when the wind changes? Answer: Sorry we missed you.

Erez Alon, ISRAEL: Intermediate 180lbs. “I want to see independent reviews about the sail.” Answer: I am sure they will be coming.

David Papadopoulos, USA: Advanced 200lbs. “Started in the 80’s and had friends who loved your stuff. Equipment has gotten so expensive, doing more with less sounds good for the sport!”

Cyrille COUDYSER, FRANCE: Advanced 180bs. “I am a friend of Daniele, we met in defi. He used my board. Your sails seem to be fantastic” Answer: We are so impressed and grateful for your kindness, Cyrille.  Daniele did not have a proper board and fin for most of the races until you loaned him your brand-new Patrik. We would have loved to loan you a RigONE, but found out too late. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

ERIC SEYFFER, CANADA: Intermediate 210bs. “Looking for one sail that can handle 15 mph to 30mph gusts, while keeping a balanced feel. riding a 145 Goya or 106 Super X JP.” Answer: Seeing your weight and conditions a RigONE Large (9.0) would be perfect.

Piers Throssell NEW ZEALAND: Advanced 160lbs.  “Hi, I saw a video of your sail in the DEFI wind and am very interested. I think it might be perfect for my purpose… I plan to continue my trip around the north island of NZ next summer, and I need a new sail. I was using an Ezzy 7.5, which was great. It was fun at 12-25 knots and manageable at 4-30 knots (in the open ocean). It was also very robust, which is very important. Looking at your sails, I think they might be even better for me. I’m keen to find out more. You can see my progress from last season on Facebook (windsurfing around NZ). Regards, Piers”. Answer: Outstanding! You might find the RigONE Large (9.0) to be perfect for your adventure. You might have noticed that Daniele used a Medium (6.9) for all the races at Defi-Wind when the winds were 25+ and gusting to 50. At 145 lbs, he had no problem with the 6.9 in those conditions.

Xavier Grandjean, FRANCE: Advanced 160lbs.  “Quel modèle pour 20-35 nœuds, petit ?  Oui. (Which model for 20-35 knots, small? Yes.) Answer: Oui, ou moyen.

Marcus Oldfield, GREECE: Advanced 161bs.  “Looking for a strong wind solution for my 95ltr Duotone Freewave. It works best with. 5m sail, but I would like to broaden its wind range. I sail in Vassiliki and the UK. Answer: Again, watch the previous video.

Burt de Pueter, BELGIUM: Advance 254bs.   “I strongly believe in the idea of one sail, one board. I have a raceboard (boho) and its sail 9,5 sqm. It is tunable across many conditions. I also have a Thomen ride (125 litres), which is also sailable in a lot of different conditions. The RigONE would pair perfectly with that last board!”

Tom Kettler, NETHERLANDS: Other 230. “Are you working on a dealer program? I have a shop in the NL and might be interested in selling, and have a few shops that might be interested. Answer: We are doing things a little differently. Next month we will launch a Kickstarter to let anyone pledge for a sail or several sails at Wholesale prices. After that, anyone who did not catch the pledge will have to wait for next year. Shops like yours can contact us for a volume order at 10% less. (Saving the Kickstarter fee.) All sail sizes will be less than $800, excluding shipping. Those shops that take advantage of the launch can sell at retail price for the rest of the year, which almost doubles.

Vincent Trichet FRANCE: Advanced 199lbs.   “Easy to transport, no need for a van or a trailer to go windsurfing, never lose time on the beach asking me what size to rig. Perhaps you need to work on something like a retractable/adjustable fin to match the sail. Hugues de Turkheim made this in the 90s for Tiga, for example.” Answer: Thank you. I will leave it to the board-building experts.

Alex Franklin AUSTRALIA: Intermediate 177lbs.  “Looking for a windsurfing setup for travelling. A one-sail setup for a wide range of conditions would be amazing.”

Mattias Pettersson, SWEDEN: Advanced 177bs.  “I would like to have one sail for most conditions, most common for me, 20 – 35 knots. Answer: At that wind range and your weight, the Medium is perfect. Again, look at the video above.

Chris Oram, KENYA: Intermediate 200bs.   “I am curious how a single sail can cover such a wide wind range. The website doesn’t explain it at all, which makes me suspicious, but I would like to be convinced. Answer: I am fascinated and intrigued to know where you windsurf in Kenya!?  Please watch this video lt at Defi-Wind. Then go to this page: What’s RigONE, where the provisional patents of this sail are explained.

Randy Visser, NETHERLANDS: Intermediate 200bs.   “One sail quiver sounds great!”

Douglas  Willard USA: Advanced 195lbs.  “I’m excited because I have loved this sport since the age of 12 in 1986. So much so that I remember watching boardsailing year vids with John featured in them. So much so that almost 20 years ago, I stoked the flames of the community in Rochester, NY and started an online local presence called Rochester Windsports to strengthen our community. I want this sport to thrive again, and it seems good to me that a person who has invested in it for so long, like John, may know what he is talking about. Good luck, and thanks!” Answer: Thank you and Bravo, Doug! At the age of 73, I am doing this to help and give back to a sport we all love.

Outters Vincent FRANCE: Advanced 165lbs.   “Only one sail ??? It’s unbelievable! “Answer: Oui! Vinvent! I think you’ve seen this, but it was proven at the Defi-Winds last week.

Karl Lamens, BELGIUM: Advanced 172bs.  “I’ve been windsurfing since 1979 and have done almost everything from Div 1, 2, wave, slalom, and speed. I’m just interested in this new sail. I’m getting older (62), and maybe an easier rig would be interesting??? I’m sailing now, high-quality stuff from Point-7 (AC1). Can it be tested somewhere? What’s the price, and can the sail be rigged on the current quiver ? Kind regards.” Answer: I am the same as you, Karl. At 73, I want simplicity yet sustainable thrill. This sail kept e going for 22 more years. The sail is made for RDM masts only. You should get rid of your SD masts anyway. The price of a RigONE and an RDM constant curve will be lower than that of any other performance sail.  I will soon launch a Kickstarter campaign where you can pledge for a sail for less than $800. Unfortunately no place to test, but click the Link above and see a remarkable result at Defi-Wind.

Now sailing freewave just for fun, but still loving speed; also, this seems a lovely do-it-all speed.”

J. Goldney, USA: 165lbs, Advanced  “Will they work for wind foiling? Any plans for foil-compatible versions?”

S. Stallman, UNITED KINGDOM: 210 lbs, Advanced. “Hi there, perhaps something to talk about over email. I’m from Windsurfer Magazine and Head Tester for our YouTube reviews. Just wondering whether there is an opportunity for us to review the sail? Happy to talk via email or even a call if that suits best.Best of luck with the project, it’s certainly been stirring up my socials feeds recently! Best regards, Windsurfer Magazine.”  Answer: We would love to work with you and hasten a review to your liking. We are NOT trying to manipulate another product into the market with hype, but we do hope to convey a good idea to help revive a great sport.

M. Jones, AUSTRALIA: 180lbs, Advanced  “A) You need to have Kg on your calculator; the rest of the world works in metric! B) Mast? Boom size, etc., for each sail (in metric again 🙂 C) How does it work? 7.5-5.0 in one sail is a massive claim! Sail looks good and interesting, but someone windsurfing along at speed in nice water isn’t telling me anything that I don’t already know. You obviously have a secret sauce behind this and your claims, but keeping the science and theory secret isn’t going to help sell 🙂 You need to clearly explain on the website and in videos what makes this thing work so well across such a wide range, and also work well —e.g., keep and maintain speeds the same as regular sails—no good holding on to a rig if you have to drop your speed by half to do so!”  Answer:  All great points, perhaps. “What Is RigONE” page here can help explain some of your questions. https://www.windwing.com/whats-rigone/ Please email back with questions! We always welcome doubt and recommendations. The good news is that this sail has been tested for over 22 years, and we are confident enough to bring it to the market to make a difference to the sport.

H. Frank, USA: 115lbs, Advanced. “Let’s GO!”

W. Loneragan AUSTRALIA: 209lbs Intermediate  “Do we have any current prices, mate, and details on when shipping occurs? I’m only imagining that you would do limited shipments to Australia. Only asking as I need to place it into the “get permission from the minister for war and finance budget” 🙄🤣. Looking forward to getting out on the water on FNQ, Aust.  Cheers.”   Answer: We currently have leftover sails from our last order that we will put on the market. We also have another batch of 20 sails arriving next week, 10 will be used for our Launch in France. All these sails are more expensive due to air freight from China. They will be selling around $800 to $1000, depending on the size, plus DHL shipping, which to Australia will probably be another $200. It will still be less than the retail price of around $1590, +/-. There may be some demo sails left over from the Difi Wind Race for less, but not likely to be brought back to the USA. If you are in a hurry, I would spend the extra $300 for one from our current inventory and get the sail within a week to 10 days, or wait for the Kickstarter, which will be around $800 plus shipping.

Emmanuel Cartailler USA: Advanced 200lbs. Loneragan   “Hope to see a wave line return!”
